Approach: Through this project, I wanted to highlight how parental neglect and a lack of supervision can make younger people more vulnerable to dangerous situations. To reflect the darker themes of the film Coraline, I used dull tones and a muted color palette paired with a crooked display typeface and subtle glow effects. The illustrations were all created by me in Adobe Illustrator, using scenes from the original film as visual references while developing a distinct and original interpretation.
